Man's desire to control, identify, and thus understand their world is not new. Over time, however, scientific methods were refined and we can now get the most detailed information on everything from the microscopic to the cosmological.
Catrin Andersson is an artist who stands with one foot in the scientific world and the other in the subjective realm.
Scientifically obtained information on weather phenomena and various forms of natural scenarios occupy her interest but reformulated to the projection surfaces for their own fantasies. Her work takes up where science can not reach and allow thoughts of infinity, the time and parallel worlds to our own. Catrin Andersson works with drawing, photography and installations. BLANK exhibition at the Aura is a logical continuation of Andersson's artistic activities. Now the focus of the iceberg though absent in physical form. With BLANK she puts herself in a neutral position, from where working with clues, building up and bringing forward other aspects of the ice.
